Already in the 1950’s, the company was the world’s largest manufacturer of mechanical choppers; the predecessors of today’s inverters.
As pioneers of this technology, KACO new energy has been concentrating completely on the development and manufacture of photovoltaic-based solutions since 1998. The first serially-produced, transformerless inverters came from our company in 1999. To date we have delivered inverters to the market with over 7 gigawatt cumulative output.
