LEAF is leading the definition of the Local Smart Grid concept, both maximizing green energy harvesting and improving its management in the residential, commercial and industrial environments

The Microinverter500 is the first device on the market certified for both CEI 0-21 and VDE 4105, even for larger installations (above 3kW and 4.6kW respectively)

Unlike traditional systems, the LEAF architecture provides one microiverter for each single (or at most a couple of) PV panels, so to overcome common issues of central inverter installations like shadowing, manufacturing mismatches or potential induced degradation (PID) and, therefore, to optimize anytime and anywhere each PV module productivity

Having each PV panel indipendent to any other in terms of energy conversion provides a twofold benefit: on oneside the LEAF archietecture enables AC cabling to start directly from the PV panel location, on the otherside a PV panel fault does not impact on a whole string and makes it maintenance way safer

Moreover, the adoption of a more advanced electronic and construction concepts, allows for an expected product lifetime beyond 20 years, far more than a traditional inverter technology can offer
