ISOVOLTAIC AG is a world market and technology leader in the development and production of backsheets for PV modules and significantly shapes established industry standards with ICOSOLAR® Backsheets and Encapsulants. The company has more than 25 years of experience in the manufacture of high-quality composite protective films for solar cells with a production capacity of approx. 10 GWp per year.

The tried and proven ICOSOLAR® Backsheets ensure that sunlight can be efficiently converted into usable energy over a long period of time. On the one hand they protect solar cells permanently against mechanical and chemical influences and adverse weather conditions and on the other, they protect the environment against active elements – in the form of electrical insulation.

Since its beginnings in the 1980s ISOVOLTAIC has produced more than 150 Million m2 of solar backsheets. ICOSOLAR® products are tested by strict and comprehensive material testing. They are UL recognized, TÜV type approved and/or JET component registrated. The standards we set for ICOSOLAR® is higher than official industry standards. In addition to long-term behavior, ICOSOLAR® also offers a convenient handling during module production and installation.

Improvement of our existing products and advancement of future technologies are major issues at ISOVOLTAIC. With a constant focus on quality and availability, we develop progressively effective material solutions which enable the production of increasingly efficient and economical solar modules and like this set industry shaping benchmarks.
