Body:

PV Poland promotes the use of photovoltaics as a realistic, reliable and economic energy source to encourage the integration of PV energy into Poland’s research, economy and everyday life. PV Poland serves as a focal point for conducting and stimulating research and demonstration activities; organizing workshops and conferences, disseminating information.

Polskie Towarzystwo Fotowoltaiki was established by Dr. Stanislaw M. Pietruszko in 2005.

The member of the European Photovoltaic Industry Association (EPIA), our members are involved in the European PV Technology Platform.

Our activity:

Our most recent activities concentrate on certification, quality and safety issues. We are Training Centre (www.szkolenia.pv-polska.pl) acredited by the Office of Technical Inspection.

As the recognized voice of the photovoltaic community we create a strong organization of entities interested in acquiring solar PV energy,

Our activity aims to create a safe and sustainable policy framework for the development of photovoltaics,

In 2005, Position Paper on FIT together with EPIA and European PV Associations;

In 2009, "The position paper of the Polish photovoltaic community on the Polish Energy Policy until 2030”. Our goal is 3.5 GW in 2020.

PROJECTS:

PV LEGAL– Reduction of legal-administrative barriers for PV system installations.

PV GRID– Reducing barriers hampering large scale integration of PV electricity into the distribution grid.

PV NMS-NET– yearly “Status of Photovoltaics in the EU New Member States" since 2003 and in 2012 "Strategy for the development of PV in 12 EU New Member States to 2020",

In 2004, the first in Poland, project “SOLTRAIN - Photovoltaic training courses in EU candidate countries” within Altener with the Fraunhofer ISE in Freiburg and Solarpraxis.

Participation in establishing the Center for Photovoltaics and the first in Poland PV system on facade at the Warsaw University of Technology.
