solarnova has an unmistakable, unique look when it comes to the field of renewable energies. We have been developing and manufacturing photovoltaic modules of the highest quality for use in buildings and for classic applications in the town of Wedel, a technology hub in the Hamburg metro area, since 1997. We put our traditional Hanseatic values into practice, stand for creative ideas and nearly proverbial flexibility. Our decades of experience may not be obvious on the outside, but are nonetheless reflected in attractive ways in every single module that leaves our plant: In their quality. In their reliability. In their performance. Incidentally, solarnova grew out of the research and development unit at AEG, a German electronics corporation, which established one of the first PV production lines in the early 1980s.
We produce our distinctive, aesthetic photovoltaic modules for buildings using state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. Among other things, we design and produce custom solutions for solar facades, overhead glazing and shading elements. The form, color and transparency of the elements can be customized to accommodate even the most unusual design requirements and requests.
In addition to building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), our product range also includes extremely durable and efficient standard models for classic applications (roof-mounted or ground-mounted systems). These are also all “Made in Germany” −without exception.
